Pamela Olszewski

The Local

Artist Statement

My illustrations are scenes that reveal the moments in the special events of vacations and celebrations when the permanent and the temporary phases of life mingle. The lively beaches and boardwalks create spontaneous opportunities to use color and illusionary perspective to record the contradictory association of the visitors and the locals as they share their day.
