As both an actor and director\, Joan has been featured in our 2018 and 2019 OC Film Fest seasons\, winning Audience Choice in 2018\, and an honorable mention in 2019. \n“Contrition” directed by Ed Wasser\, starring Joan Chak. One man’s journey through the random cruelty of life. \n“Baking Cookies for a Witches Funeral” directed by Joan Chak. The evening before their mother’s funeral\, two sisters clash over memories and forgiveness. \n“Hott Yoga” by Joan Chak. Two young women have a match on a lesbian dating app. Will they get their love connection in a couples yoga class? \n“Ms. Fortune” by Joan Chak. Joy dances her way through the day\, planning for a romantic’Hawaii-themed’ evening with her husband…all foretold by a Tarot Card reading. While the cards were right…it may not have been what Joy had in mind. \nContent not rated by MPAA. Doors open at 6:30\, films start promptly at 7. \n$5 admission\, proceeds go directly to supporting the Art League of Ocean City and the 2020 Ocean City Film Festival season.
