Gwen Lehman retired from Worcester County Public Schools in July 2015 after teaching at Stephen Decatur High School for 46 years. Best known for her work as the director of the theatre department, Mrs. Lehman also taught English and Psychology during her long tenure. Mrs. Lehman graduated from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, with a degree in history and a minor in psychology. She completed her M.A. in English at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, and earned credits beyond her M.A. from Salisbury University.
Gwen Lehman wrote, designed, and directed hundreds of plays while at Stephen Decatur High School where she instituted an annual children’s theatre seen by nearly 10,000 children each year, and initiated the development and construction of an outdoor courtyard theatre where her students began the presentation of her adaptations of the plays of William Shakespeare.
“While I still draw and have always been in love with lines, risking color and movement and shape in an abstract expression has been one of the most engaging and freeing experiences of my creative life.”

Brad Hudson has been an artist/instructor at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore for 15 years. He developed a Sequential Arts concentration that began in the Fall of 2009. Hudson is a prolific artist; he has recently been focusing his energies developing his body of characters and comic book illustrations under the moniker Coldstream Studios. In addition to his own titles, Hudson frequently contributes work to other independent anthologies and comics. Hudson continues to practice the art of printmaking specializing in lithography and relief printing. His recent interests have been focused on the Pin-Ups of the 40s and 50s, classic illustration, and contemporary pattern, iconography and graffiti. He continues to exhibit locally, nationally and internationally and participates in numerous national comic book conventions with students from UMES.

Kate Hammen resides in Ellicott City, MD but considers Ocean City her second home. Kate took pottery classes for several years and discovered Precious Metal Clay (PMC) about 10 years ago. She loves using patterns from things found in nature and all of her pieces one-of-a-kind.
