The Art of Batik with Betsy Hall Harrison

$125 for Members/ $155 for non members. $20 material fee payable to instructor. Monday – Wednesday 10 am to 2 Pm.

Learn the ancient art of Batik! This is a wax-resist and dye process usually done on cloth. We will experiment with wax application techniques on cotton and oriental papers. Basic color mixing dyes for dye baths, and wax removal methods will also be covered. Students should complete 2-3 small Batiks in the 3 day workshop. No art experience needed!

Come and paint in Watercolors mixed with Pastels, Pen & Ink, and more with Gail Zinar.
You will experience how Gail integrates emotions into her paintings, and how she creates special effects by combining Watercolor with different media. You will see how she approaches the paper by watching her demos, and she will share her thought-process with you. She will teach you the technical aspects of Watercolor, and after her demo you are welcome to paint your own masterpiece.
Every class you will work on a new exciting Theme. All levels are welcome. Please bring your own supplies.
