John Schisler - a Baltimore-born artist whose classical/contemporary realist paintings are rooted in the techniques of the Dutch Masters. Trained at the Conrad Miller Studio, he crafts his own traditional black oil mediums to achieve the luminous depth and brilliance of artists like Rembrandt and Rubens. Since 2011, Schisler has pursued art full time, expanding into plein air painting and earning juried acceptance into prestigious events such as Plein Air Easton.
