Education Coordinator/Director
Job Description:

Hours/wk 20-28 may include some weekends and evenings, some hours may be remote

Non-Exempt                                                                                       Reports to: Executive Director

Job Summary: The Education Director is responsible for developing, managing, executing and advancing the educational initiatives of the Art League of Ocean City. He/she works closely with the Executive Director to create, oversee, and evaluate programming consistent with the mission of the Art League Ocean City. The Education Coordinator/Director oversees the pottery studio manager, and summer camp coordinator. This position requires strong management skills, strategic planning abilities, and a passion for education.

Skills Required:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently, as well as with a team

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and google drive Bachelor’s degree or higher required preferably in a related field

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Develop Educational programs including classes, workshops and special projects according to ALOC mission, strategic plan, policy structure, and prior program evaluation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate educational programs
  • Contract with instructors- arrange for hotels as needed
  • Create pricing according to ALOC policy
  • Arrange for set up and monitors of classes as needed
  • Insure fingerprinting requirements and other policies are upheld
  • Create and disseminate printed material regarding educational programs, including class schedules-working with the marketing team.
  • Manage outreach programs to schools and community partners.
  • Track grant funding related to Education and outreach projects and report to ED as per grant requirements.
  • Coordinate private classes, educational fundraisers and events
  • Update and maintain educational information on registration software and website.
  • Monitor programs and evaluate programs through surveys, and prepare reports as required.
  • Coordinate ordering or supplies and materials needed for classes and workshops as needed

Development Director
Job Description: 

Hours per week 20-25 Non-Exempt                              Reports to: Executive Director

The Art League of Ocean City is seeking a passionate and experienced Development Director to join our dynamic team. As a non profit organization, the Art League of Ocean City is dedicated to promoting the arts, enriching the cultural landscape, and making a positive impact on the area.

Job Summary: The Development Director will work with the Executive Director to oversee our donor relations program and manage our fundraising initiatives to create the strategy to ensure we meet our resource development goals. The Development Director collaborates with the Administrative Assistant, who updates the donor database and mailing lists, and the Reception Coordinator who assists with special events. Position includes fundraising events that may occur on weekends or evenings and allows for remote or offsite work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and prior relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills Self- starter with the ability to work on a team
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain donor relationships
  • Event planning and project management skills
  • Computer proficiency including use of Microsoft Office suite and google drive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and familiarity with local community members

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • With Executive Director design and implement annual resource development plan
  • Identify prospective individual donors, event sponsors, legacy partners, and corporate partners; cultivate and maintain those relationships.
  • Proficient use of donor management software
  • Maintain ongoing donor communications
  • Plan and execute fundraising and donor recognition events
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and provide report
  • Develop compelling donor publications & messages with Marketing team
  • Liaison to board resource development committee
