Welcome to the Center for the Arts

Visit Us and Be Inspired

The non-profit Art League of Ocean City facility features a spacious two story gallery, a pottery studio, classrooms, art library and five working artist studios. The galleries display new exhibits of regional and local artists monthly, some of whom are Art League of Ocean City members.
Exhibits kick off with an opening reception from 5-7 PM on the first Friday of each month. The receptions, as with all of our activities, are open to the public. In addition, we offer workshops for artists of all ages and skill levels, a summer art camp program and community events like our Plein Air Painting Competition and Sand Castle Home Tour. Affordable community meeting space, with beautiful views of the bay, is available for rent for your next gathering.
The Center for the Arts owes its success to many dedicated Art League of Ocean City members and volunteers who give of their time and talents. We welcome you to join our team and get involved. Whether you are an artist or simply an art appreciator, visit The Ocean City Center for the Arts and be inspired.

Statement of Solidarity

The Art League of Ocean City Center for the Arts treats everyone with respect, encourages different points of view, welcomes new ideas in a non judgmental way, promotes diversity, and provides equal access to the arts for everyone in our community.  We stand in solidarity with those protesting racism and social injustice and are committed to building a healthier, just, and inclusive future. We believe art is a powerful and creative vehicle that can stand up to racial injustice, and help promote equality and understanding. Art is an influential medium that promotes dialog and helps to bring about change. We stand strongly against prejudice, and will continue to work together with the community to help end racism and the systemic inequities that permeate America.

At the Art League of Ocean City, we support and encourage participation by black artists and audiences, and we pledge to do more. We offer exhibition space to black artists to feature their works. During the Covid-19 pandemic we have provided free youth classes and provide art supplies to remove barriers and promote access to the arts.

The ALOC is a public, non-profit organization that serves our community in its entirety regardless of race, economic status, religious preference or sexual bias. We will advocate courageously for our black brothers and sisters, and all of our diverse community to ensure that their stories are told. We acknowledge and hear their voices and pledge to do better. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
