Please join us in celebration of MLK Weekend with events to inspire you. With complimentary light food and drinks. Free and open to the public!
SATURDAY JANUARY 13
- 11am-4pm: “I Have a Dream” youth art show and artist Kevin Harris (Chestertown, MD) with paintings on glass representing African American culture.
- 12:30-1:30pm: Jay Konsciouz (Baltimore, MD) performs hip hop.
- 2-3pm: Short film showcase & Q&A with filmmakers to follow: “Points of Juxtaposition” by B.L. Strang-Moya. “Nothing Makes Sense” by Torrez Wise. “Runaway Groom” by Marlon Wallace.
- 3-4pm: Spotlight Gallery featured artist, Kevin Harris, will be doing a glass painting demo.
- 3-4pm: “Beacon of Hope” programmers bring Harriet Tubman descendant, Tonet Cuffee to the gallery. Plus, take part in a historical experience through virtual reality!
- 3-4pm: MLK banner on display for pictures.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 14
- 11am-4pm: Exhibits continue
- 12-1pm: Hip Hop open mic and Q&A with Jay Konsciouz
