Sari Jo Fox & Carla Bessette Sari Jo began drawing at an early age. Growing up in Michigan, her love of animals and the outdoors sparked an appreciation of the simple beauty of sky, water, forest, and fields. Horses, dogs, and cats were her favorite subjects, creating pencil portraits in action or repose. She enjoys working natures elements into her artwork giving the viewer the impression of sun, wind, wave, a wet nose, or a velvety muzzle. Originally from New York, Carla Bessette retired to Delaware finding the culture change refreshing and also finding many new areas to enjoy as well as paint. Her paintings are mostly of landscapes including lighthouses, shorebirds, beach sunsets, and other local attractions. She discovered that these Delaware scenes have given her new eyes with which to see the beautiful landscape. Carla studied with Abraxas Hudson, providing her with a greater understanding of methods to bring her paintings to life. Her paintings, mostly in oils, reflect the realism that she feels best portrays her interpretation of the beauty of the Delaware Beaches.In the Spotlight Gallery:
