This class will guide you step-by-step on what material to use, the importance of your sketch, composition, and how to make your painting stronger. Kids and Canvas: OC Ferris Wheel

Drawing Boot Camp with David Simpson (Develop your Drawing)

Creative Kids: Goo, Slime & Gunk

Seek the Soul - Mask Head Collage

Creating a piece of art can be a highly enriching personal experience in which you look inside yourself and find the shapes, colors and patterns to represent anything from your current state of mind to your most deeply-desired wish for yourself, for a loved one, or for humanity. Create your own mask head collage. All materials will be supplied. Material fee of $15 will be paid directly to instructor.
Beginners and Beyond Watercolor Class

Day 3 is always a “Clinic, Completion, and Technique ” day, offering time to polish and finish previous 2 days’ work, and to take advantage of private demos and lessons.

Introduction to 3-D Painting with George Zaiser

Sip and Ceramics: Beer Stein with Burley Oak Brewing Co.

Local Colors, Watercolors with Geri Gaskill

Beading: Baubles & Bubbles- Single Strand Necklace with Nicole Maskell

This beginner-level class teaches you a different "style" of beading and jewelry making each month to design stunning one-of-a-kind jewelry. We will go over the types of tools and materials before we dive into a “Bead-Buffet” that includes high quality crystal, lampwork glass, porcelain, metal and other beads. Material Fee will be paid directly to the instructor. Bring your friends, a snack and an adult beverage and enjoy a fun, stress-free evening of beading.
Painting Inspired Glass Plates or Candle Holders with Pete Gibson

$55 for members, $70 for non members, plus $20 material fee Select your favorite artist and bring images of some of their paintings to class. You will construct a 8.75" square plate (with slightly curved up edges in it's final form) replicating a version of their famous painting. Plates can be displayed, or used as serving plates for food, etc. OR, you can make a slightly smaller votive candle holder for tea light candles in a design of your choice. Using scrap glass, you can construct two votives or one plate. Material fee of $20 is payable to ALOC at front desk on the day of class.

Art and Soul: Painting to Music

Suggested donation: $10. Funded by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore. Painting to music... can you do it blindfolded? An offering of art materials will be provided while you paint to music blind folded. This workshop is focused on the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well being of individuals of all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight. This healing workshop provides support, acknowledgement and personal acceptance to those who may be experiencing illness, homelessness, abuse, addiction or painful challenges in life and to the family members and friends who may also be affected. Our mission is to offer an escape and healing through art.
2-Day Mosaic Workshop with Kathi Stevens

Cost: $60 Members, $75 Non-Members Meets: Saturday, 10/28 from 10 AM - 4 PM and Sunday, 10/29 from 12 PM - 3 PM Learn how to make your own beautiful mosaic on a 10x10" board. You will learn in these two days how to use the different materials. This will be a fun and informative class, and at the end you will take home a wonderful piece of art that can be used for decoration inside or outside.
Create Your Own Glass Coral Bowl or Coral Clock with Pete Gibson
