Why Support the Gladiator Games?

The Gladiator Games are more than just a series of events; they are a grassroots movement. By leveraging their own creativity and resources, these “Gladiators” ensure that the arts remain accessible to everyone in our coastal community.

Supporting a Gladiator means you are helping to:

  • Maintain free gallery admission for all visitors.

  • Provide scholarships for young, aspiring artists.

  • Fund inclusive workshops for veterans and individuals with disabilities.

  • Keep Family Art Days free and accessible to local families.

About the Art League of Ocean City

Founded in 1963, the nonprofit 501c3 Art League of Ocean City is the Eastern Shore’s premier hub for creativity and connection. Located within the Ocean City Center for the Arts, the Art League offers a comprehensive arts experience that balances community accessibility with professional excellence.

The facility is home to dynamic galleries with monthly changing exhibits, a specialty gift shop featuring local artisans, and resident artist studios where visitors can see the creative process in action. From professional pottery studios and art classrooms offering instruction for children, youth, and adults, to free community outreach initiatives, the Art League ensures there is a place for everyone—from the casual visitor to the career artist.

Through signature programs like the Ocean City Film Festival and Artists Paint OC, the Art League serves as a cultural anchor for the region. Supported by a small, dedicated staff and a tireless army of volunteers, the Art League remains committed to its founding mission: To promote artistic expression and appreciation for the creative arts in our community.
