Champion of the Arts Competition

As a valued member of the ALOC community, you have the unique opportunity to directly contribute to the success of the Art League of Ocean City by organizing and executing your own fundraiser(s) with minimal support from staff.

The Art League Games is a fun challenge that will culminate at our celebration in April 2026. We are asking each community member to become either a Gladiator for the Arts or create a Team of Gladiators and lead benefits independently, ensuring all net funds are submitted by March 31, 2026. Gladiators will compete for the prestigious title of Champion of the Arts or Team Champions of the Arts, which will be announced at the celebration in April. This special recognition comes with bragging rights, public acknowledgment, and a spotlight on your dedication to the arts.

We encourage you to recruit other Gladiators to compete alongside you, to ensure competition is a roaring success and the most epic art battle Ocean City has ever seen!

Why a Gladiator?

In ancient Rome, Gladiators weren’t just fighters—they were symbols of strength and purpose. Today, in the Art League Games, our modern-day Gladiators enter a new kind of arena. They battle not with swords, but with passion, raising funds and rallying support to keep creativity thriving in our community.

Each Gladiator fights for the arts with boldness—hosting events, calling on supporters, and championing a cause greater than themselves. And like the warriors of old, they don’t do it alone. With every donation and act of advocacy, they remind us all that art is worth fighting for.

One will be crowned Champion of the Arts—not just for raising the most, but for their courage, dedication, and relentless drive to strengthen the creative spirit of Ocean City.

Step into the arena. The battle for the arts has begun.

Ready to Compete, but…

If you are set to compete, but are not sure what benefits to do, we can provide a list of potential events, but ultimately know this is about your comfort level. Choose events you feel secure executing, and if you are happiest doing new things – GO FOR IT!
