Artist Statement
Since 2001 I have been immersed in the art world, but I never anticipated this. I was educated to be a lawyer, and practiced law for 20 years. In 2001 I enrolled in a watercolor class because I had always admired watercolor. Everything changed! I studied at the Maryland Institute, College of Art, and also studied with many nationally known artists for years. The beauty of nature and flowers in particular are the inspirations for much of my work. I have a passion for COLOR and paint in watercolor, pastel, acrylic and oil I paint from my winter studio in Boca Raton, and from my summer beach place in Ocean City. My paintings have been juried into many national and international shows, and I have won over 50 awards.
