
Artist Biography:
Ruth Ann primarily works in watercolors and watercolor combined with other media and is inspired by nature, animals and color. She likes to do a variety of watercolor techniques – sometimes traditional and others experimental.
Ruth Ann is a member of the Cape Artists of Lewes and has been accepted into numerous juried exhibits including Delaware Watercolor Society (DWS) exhibits at Nassau Valley Vineyards, Biggs Museum of American Art and Wilmington University, Dover campus. Ruth Ann has won several awards in juried exhibitions including first place for “Whale Watch” in a 2018 DWS exhibit. Ruth Ann served as President of the Garden State Watercolor Society (GSWS) from 2008 through 2010. Her painting was purchased by the county (purchase award) at a Mercer County Community College exhibition. Ruth Ann’s work is available at the Cape Artists Gallery, 110 W. Third St., Lewes, DE.
