Free Family Art Day: Kindness Rocks

Film Night: Rocky Horror Picture Show

Join us for another film screening brought to you by the Ocean City Film Festival! This month is a $10 screening of the legendary "Rocky Horror Picture Show" to benefit New Beginnings! In true Rocky Horror fashion, a $3 discount will be offered to those who arrive in costume, or prepared to participate with props! We hope for it to be an authentic and audacious viewing experience! For the last year, New Beginnings has been working toward the goal of building a recovery house with round-the-clock staff for Worcester County's recovering addicts. As the opioid epidemic continues to affect this region and the country at large, their efforts are an inspiration to families everywhere! As the song goes, they are "a light in the darkness of everybody's night!" Come out for a fantastic time to support this remarkable and much needed cause!

Film Festival Fundraiser and Costume Party

The Launch ~ Faces of the Moon, A Celebration of the Performing Arts

See artwork by members of the Art League on display at this exciting event at the OC Performing Arts Center, benefiting the Worcester County Education Foundation. Act I performances include solo vocalist, vocal duet, vocal ensemble, individual instrumentalist, a children’s Chamber Music ensemble, band, dance ensembles and more. The evening’s final performance features special guest, local composer Daniel Bowen (Stephen Decatur High School graduate) who blends original, provocative symphonic compositions with stunning choreographed imagery. Tickets for the LAUNCH are $25 for adults and $10 for students and may be purchased at the Ocean City Convention Center box office or online at www.ticketmaster.com. "My story echoes that of many others, the caregiver. Since my sister's death, I have been creating a visual dialogue of our journey together... My series of paintings pays tribute to my family's journey, to all of those who have suffered through Huntington's Diesease, and to the honest feelings of those who are caregivers."

OC Comic Con

Manga + Anime Youth Art Show

Students from Worcester, Wicomico, and Sussex counties will showcase their artwork for one weekend at the OC Center for the Arts on 94th St. in Ocean City MD. The purpose of this event is to encourage creativity and spread awareness of Manga and Anime as a true art form.  Cash prizes awarded on the basis of creativity, originality, and artistic merit.
Opening Reception: Friday April 6, 5-7pm.
