William “B.L.” Strang-Moya is an audio-video artist and the Creative Director of the Ocean City Film Festival. He is a 2017 graduate of Towson University with a BSc in Electronic Media & Film, currently pursuing a master’s in Communication Management. B.L. founded the Ocean City Film Festival in 2017 with the Art League of Ocean City and has since actively managed the festival year-round. In addition to operating the OCFF, B.L. is a commercial videographer for the University System of Maryland. In this Lunch & Learn, B.L. will share an interactive history of the OCFF, discuss his career as a camera-man, and share films and videos from his portfolio. “My creativity is largely informed by my experiences living and working on the Eastern Shore. It inspires me that not only do I have a platform for my art in Ocean City, but I am able to provide a platform for others through the Ocean City Film Festival.”- B.L. Strang-Moya.”

The Art League of Ocean City is pleased to present the 2021 Orem & Harriet Robinson Fellow for Contemporary Art and Community Engagement: sculptor Bill Wolff. Meet the artist and learn more about his artwork, inspiration, and plans for this year’s fellowship.

Wolff is currently an associate chair of the art department and head of the sculpture program at Salisbury University, and his work in wood, metal and installation has been exhibited locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Wolff holds a BFA and an MFA in sculpture from Binghamton University and Louisiana State University. From 2005 to 2009 the artist lived in Japan as a Monbukagakusho scholar at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, now known as Tokyo University of the Arts, where he received an MA in wood sculpture. From 2009-2014 he lived and worked in Rochester, N.Y. where he taught 3D design at the Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as teaching as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Rochester.
