Artist Biography:
I was trained as a commercial artist and a classical artist in high school but could not move forward due to finance issues. I have worked as a volunteer art director for a political advocacy group.
Artist Statement:
They never see the joy, whimsy that lives in my imagination. The love of nature. The love of life. The few opportunities I have had to teach were wonderful. Nothing is as much fun as seeing that light turn on in a child’s smile when they realize they drew it. I have always lived with great emotional trauma from my childhood, and real physical pain due to health issues. People never really see me. They see what they want. Often they assume. I am assigned. But I want to share. I want to show you there is so much more to the people around you.
