Light & Shadow: Plein Air Works by Crystal Moll
Click here to see a selection of artwork online.
- Crystal Moll, originally from Virginia Beach, earned her BFA from Moore College of Art & Design. Baltimore has been her home since the late 80’s. Since that time, she has been a full-time fine artist. Crystal paints mostly cityscapes and works directly from life. She may complete a small work in one sitting, but she also loves to take these small and large works back to the location for many sittings—sometimes over weeks, sometimes not until the following season. Crystal is drawn to color especially as it is bathed in light. Investigating the colors’ reaction as it is warmed in sunlight or cooled in shadows draws her to the subjects she paints.
- In 2009, Crystal opened the Crystal Moll Galley in Baltimore MD. This is home to her work along with the works of many fine artists with an emphasis on plein air works. Voted best gallery for 8 years running. 1030 South Charles Street, Federal Hill, Baltimore MD 21220
- Crystal is this year's Artists Paint OC: Plein Air event juror. Click here for more information on the 2022 event.

- Tuve Tuvesson and his daughter Tia are a great team! Tuve specializes in using all variations of metal for his welded art works. He has over 65 years of experience in welding, which started from his days as a veteran in the Korean War. He gained significant training and knowledge in all forms of metallurgy from Temple University.
- Tia, who after a career change recently received a degree in Graphic Design from Delaware County Community College, helps in designing and creating the metal art. They try to incorporate as much recycled materials as possible. Tia also creates digital images, which combine some of the metal art with nature scenery photos she has taken.
- Tuve and Tia enjoy the designing and creating process, as they are influenced by nature from the surrounding areas. If you have your own metal art design idea that you would like them to create, please feel free to mention it when you see them!

Linda Perry

- Maryland artist Linda Perry is a 1978 graduate of MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in painting. She studied under Raoul Middleman among other artists while attending MICA. She also studied commercial art at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she had the opportunity to work with commercial artist Mario Lovergine in Florence, Italy for a semester.
Perry produced several award-winning paintings during an interim of working with a group of artists at the Tidewater Art Centre in Easton in 2008. Subsequently, she has had two solo shows of her work at the Church Alley Gallery in Easton and has exhibited in juried shows at Adkins Arboretum in Ridgely, Main Street Gallery in Cambridge, the Art League of Ocean City, Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis and Worcester County Arts in Berlin. Her work is currently displayed at The Greyhound - An Indie Bookstore in Berlin and the Art League of Ocean City, and periodically at Bishops Stock Gallery in Snow Hill.
Perry is a "signature member" of ISAP (International Society of Acrylic Painters). She is also a member of NOAP (National Oil and Acrylic Painters) and ISEA (International Society of Experimental Artists).
"I paint in oils, acrylics and mixed media, focusing on experimenting with different methods and various tools such as found objects, sticks, kitchen utensils, paper, rags and brushes. My substrates are wood panels and stretched canvases. Building some of my larger canvases and frames.
Music is a major influence in my creative process. There is always music playing in my studio. I'm also deeply inspired by nature, wildlife and the outdoors. I'm influenced by the depth, atmosphere, light and color in the vastness of a country sky, reflections in a river view or just a huge field of varying values.
As an abstract/ nonrepresentational painter I have extended my work to include landscapes and seascapes. My landscapes are described as a dreamy, misty, impressionistic style. I want to keep the abstract in my paintings while portraying a more objective subject such as a landscape or still life.
Because of my love and great concern for animal welfare, a portion of my sales are donated to local animal rescues."
