Shirley Hall Youth Art Show
For over 30 years, the Art League of Ocean City has featured artwork by Worcester County middle and high school students for an annual youth art show. Cash prizes awarded! Celebrate “National Student Art Month” and support these talented young artists.
Opening Reception Friday March 4, 5-7pm. Exhibit on display Saturday and Sunday March 5-6, 11-4pm.
Originally sponsored by the Women’s Club of Ocean City, this annual youth art show was coordinated by Shirley Hall who was an active member of the OC Women’s Club and former Art League president. When the OC Women’s Club disbanded, the Art League continued to coordinate the yearly youth show as it was central to the organization’s mission. When Shirley passed away in 2006, the Art League renamed the show in her honor. The show will be judged by Shirley’s daughter Betsy Hall Harrison, who will award cash prizes on behalf of her family members.

Manga and Anime Youth Art Show 2022
- TO ENTER: bring your artwork and entry form to the OC Center for the Arts March 20-26. Click here to download the entry form.
- Judges: Brad Hudson and Elvin Hernandez, professors at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (Sequential Arts program).
- Eligibility: Open to all middle, high school, and college students. All media accepted: hand-drawn, computer generated, crafts, etc. Artwork must be created in the past year and never before entered at the Art League of Ocean City. Fan art accepted but not eligible for grand prizes. Maximum size is 18×24″. Artwork must be matted and/or framed, and ready to hang and will be included at the discretion of the exhibit committee.
